About Fleet Coffee
Est. 2016 — East Austin
Fleet Coffee started as a single triangular room on Webberville Road in East Austin. We weren't trying to reinvent coffee — just serve it well, in a space that felt like ours.
Fleet opened its doors in March 2016, started by two friends, Patrick Pierce and Loren Perkins, who had been in the coffee industry since the mid-2000s. Their goal was a simple one: show Austin what excellent espresso, coffee, and signature drinks look like, served alongside a genuine sense of hospitality and community. Patrick became sole owner in 2018, and while the team has grown, the founding spirit hasn't budged: independent, honest, and warm, with great coffee that never takes itself too seriously.

We roast the majority of our coffee in-house, and we're proud to also pour our friends at Sweet Bloom out of Denver, Colorado. Our house blend, House Rules, is on the bar at all times, while seasonal single origins rotate through: here for a season, then gone, the way the best things tend to be. We direct-source wherever we can, or work with small importers, so we can champion the farmers doing things right. Just about everything here is made from scratch: our syrups and sauces are all housemade, and we obsess over getting the classics like espresso drinks and pourovers exactly right, while dreaming up fun signature drinks that show just how dynamic and delicious coffee can be.

That same care reaches past the cup. We partner only with the best bakeries, taco makers, and local vendors we can find, and our armadillo mascot keeps a little Austin quirk in everything we do. Since that first shop on Webberville, we've grown to Manor, Congress, and now Rainey: four neighborhoods, one open door. Freshly roasted, warmly served, and all are welcome. Come say hi.
